So, I was searching the local Craigslists for E30 BMW’s and found this gem ...

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I think the price is a little CP but it is a nice example of a 325ix and I keep coming back to it and just looking. If I had the money right now I would try to negotiate with this mad man of a seller and purchase this little bad boy.

When I was younger I hung out with a group of kids and we always spent time at our one friend’s house; mostly because he had a huge house with a big basement close to school and we would go there and play the Die Hard Trilogy on Playstation. His neighbor had one a red 325ix that I was obsessed with and I would drool over it.

I drove a Saab 900S at the time and would always joke with the neighbor and try to trade even up. He went on to tell me that his wife only drove Saabs when they first got married but he had since convinced her that BMW was the way to go.

This was 1998 and I was already thoroughly into Euro cars.

When I saw this ad I had flashbacks of that street and that neighbor and the good times we had as teens. Cars man....

Thats actually not that bad of a price. e30’s have been going up in value for years. There is an ‘86-’87 325e down the road from me for sale at an all german classic cars dealership and they want $7k for it. I don’t know the mileage or anything but that is insane...

I thought of offering him $3k cash but my wife put the kibosh on it.

“Where the hell would you put it? We have no room for anymore damn cars around here!!”

Good idea checking with the wife first! Spend $3k now, paint it and wait a couple of years. It will easily be worth $10k. Hell, I've seen several go for over $10k About 6 years ago, all original cars just in good shape.
